Any information please re Mary Ann Ruby pre 1881 She was working as a house maid at the vicarage of Chalfont St Peter according to the 1881 census - then aged 24 years.

There is no address in 1861 but it is under entries for Alms Houses.

I know the area and there are some Alms Houses in St Marys Road in Langley which also has 2 pubs. One is the Red Lion, the other (newer I'd say)The Chestnuts. Not sure if there are any pubs in Middle Green. Whether this is relevant I have no idea!
