Did he remarry an Elizabeth  :-\

1901 Born Wendover, Bucks (wife Elizabeth) living Islington
1891 Born Bucks (wife Eliza) living Islington
1881 Robert Howton (wife Ann) bn Aylesbury, Bucks living Islington
1871 (wife Ann) bn Buckinghamshire living Islington
1861 Born Aylesbury living Luton
1851 Born Aylesbury (wife Ann) living Luton

Marriage Richard Houghton to Ann Billcock confirms his father as Joseph.  ;)

Richard and Ann's marriage is on familysearch
https://familysearch.org/#start

The 1851 for Elizabeth (Richards mother) who is living in Luton with her son George and grand child Betsy gives her place of birth as Waddesdon.  George was bn Wendover.

You say her surname was Walton  :-\

Elizabeth Walton
christened    13 December 1789
Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire
father Richard Walton
mother Elizabeth

That Sarah could not have died in 1821 if thats the family in 1841 ??? And I still confused over Richard/Robert seems like same person.
