p.s. have not seen these threads before

Where were you?  You must have been too busy working, gardening, eating, sleeping or something, they started in November.  :D
I have no excuse as 1st Nov was first day of my retirement
However some of those things and family history have kept me busy

Daisy Gertrude Wilson, born 1902, in Plumstead, daughter of Arthur Edward and Amelia Sophia (nee Rainer).  Arthur was Amelia's second husband so Daisy was my half gt. aunt......or something!  She married Sidney James Nevill on Christmas Day 1929 in Hoxton.  I think Sidney died in 1939 but have not bought the cert to confirm; Daisy might have re-married but I've no confirmation.  There were no children.

William John Stanton my 3 x g.g.uncle was baptised in Heckington in 1814.
James Uffindel my 6 x g.grandfather was baptised in Hadden, Cambs in 1704/5

William Spraggett & Mary Luckorish my husband’s 4 x g.grandparents were married in Leamington Hastings, Warwick in 1777.  William was a farmer and maltster and was shown on the Warwickshire Jurors Lists from 1816-1824.

Frederick Pemberton Hobson my g.uncle died in Pendleton, Lancs in 1953.  Like his parents and some of his siblings, he was a butcher.
Elizabeth Alden my half great aunt died in Hull in 1961.  She was the last child my g.gran had with her first husband.
George Mowforth was the husband of Elizabeth Alden and he too died in Hull exactly one year after his wife in 1962
Blanch Badams my husband’s 4 x g.grandmother died in Warwick in 1840

And our adopted son was born this day in 1968 in Ashton under Lyne, Lancs.

George Wyman of Oundle, Northants,  and Mary Swain (originally) of Wellington, Somerset married at Oundle in 1812.

Not sure how they got together as no other Swains came to Oundle.
Mary did survive until the 1851 census so I know her birthplace.
p.s. they were my gt x 3 grandparents
