Not such a bad thing if you're participating in a subject and get notification to further help elsewhere on same ... but would be helpful if the notification took you to to the reply, as it was, it took me to the earlier thread without the link. The notification was to say reply had been made to subject by the next person on the later thread but it didn't take me there.
Luckily Unread Posts had already helped me notice the new thread previously anyway  :D

It's not just brackets, after the update it just showed unread   replies, so to begin with it looked as if it was one subject unread replies.  Most people got used to it meaning two subjects, but now Trystan has made it even clearer. :)

Personally, I think those items should be buttons, like the Logout and Search ones, but probably in a different colour -- maybe blue?
