Hi Larkspur,

Thanks for the feedback, glad it has made a difference to you. I think I will make a new post, "Sore Eyes, you can adjust the brightness"

I can change the brightness on my laptop screen from the keyboard.  Fn 5 to lessen the brightness, Fn6 to increase the brightness.  That way it's easy to do it for individual websites.

Hi LizzieW,

Great shrtcut, on my laptop, it is F2 and F3, I think it varies with manufacturer. It is a lot quicker than the way I described.

Another thing I learnt this morning from another forum, if you are using laptop you can alter text size by placing fingers in opposite diagonal corners of touch pad and drag toward/out from the centre.

Hi jusnoneed,

Great tip, it works, just never thought about that, so easy, when you are told.

Another thing I learnt this morning from another forum, if you are using laptop you can alter text size by placing fingers in opposite diagonal corners of touch pad and drag toward/out from the centre.

You have to enable that by going to 'Control Panel' then 'Devices and Printers' and click on 'Mouse' which will give you the box all about your touchpad and it's a tab headed something like 'Pointer Options'.

A quick fix that I forgot to mention earlier is that if the brightness is bothering you, (in particular the wide borders at the sides), all you need to do is reduce the width of your page and you can remove the borders completely.
