Hi there! Francis Kitchener Hollinshead (known as Kit to the family) was my great-great uncle on my maternal side. My grandmother (Mary Elizabeth Booth nee Cuthbert) is the only family member that is alive and remembers Kit. She was 12 at the time of his passing. I have photographs etc if you would like to get in touch. What is your connection? Look forward to hearing from you :)

Not related but could not resist checking the newspapers.

The motor cycle accident is mentioned in the Yorkshire Post of 6 June 1946. Apart from Kit there was also a Reginald JARVIS on the motor cycle. It says they were injured but not whether they died.

Hi, well this is a shocker. I’ve never seen my uncles name mentioned before. Kit was my dad’s brother, so your g g grandma must be my dad’s sister Doris.

If this is contact me please do not hesitate to contact me

I also have a very charming, handsome picture of my uncle, at least I hope it’s him. Perhaps you can verify this for me

Kind regards Liz

Hi Liz, Georgia joined on 20Jun21 and was last active two days later so may not see your post. Kevin was still active earlier this year and so might notice your message.
Either of them might get an email telling them of your reply.
If they do not reply to you then you could send them a personal message though you need to make three posts before you can do this.
