Hi Russell

The community you are looking for is probably Sardis, BC - it is a part of Chilliwack, BC in the Fraser Valley.

You could check the following website to see if any of the death registrations for Alexander Wilson are relevant to you. If they stayed (and died) in Sardis the death would be registered in Chilliwack.

Did your folk have experience in animal husbandry or farm operations? Eden Bank Farm was a significant property in the Chilliwack area.

Edenbank, established in the eastern Fraser Valley of British Columbia in 1867, was much more than a typical dairy farm. It was a living laboratory that produced breakthroughs in animal science and agricultural techniques, a social and cultural centre for the community, and a wildlife preserve years before "ecology" entered the language.

Hi Russell,

Did you mean to write that Ian's parents were living in Glenlude, Ontario at the time of Ian's death?

Do you have a name for the mother?

Do you have a birth year/date for Alexander?

There are lots of Alexander Wilsons who died in British Columbia with a father named James (guessing that he died there :P). If you can narrow with a birth date & mother's name, you may be able to find additional info (death, marriage, etc) on the FamilySearch site, BC death registrations up to 1986.
