I was a neighbor and colleague of Maurice Poundall, 4308 Union St, Burnaby, BC, Canada. We were  both longshoremen in the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, Local 500 in the Port of Vancouver. The last time I saw him I gave him a ride home from the Longshore Pensioners' Dinner with his bicycle; he had ridden to the dinner and felt too tired to ride home again. I worried about him because I didn't see him for months and there was no answer at his door. Only when I saw the notice on our union website I realized he had died.

His house is now for sale, but I don't know who is the vendor. Maurice never mentioned any relatives, so I wonder if his home is being sold for recovery of back taxes or something like that.
