been trawling through is there no easy way of narrowing it down or I just keep looking through all these pages

Thank You that was opened in 1886 he joined in 1870 was there a police station there before ?

Bethnal Green will have been part of another division, maybe Whitechapel?

Now that you have his warrant number perhaps you can find his attestation, which should tell you where he joined up?

Just searched through Attestation Ledgers he joined Division H Stepney in 1870.

we have Constable Godfrey in common,

he is my third great grandfather,

i'm from his daughter Hannah Elizabeth Godfrey.

may i ask if you found anything of interest, as a child i was always obsessed on jack the ripper,

i'm fascinated i found i'm a relative of a copper on the ground as it where.
