Census: Bennison
« on: Saturday 04 June 05 22:58 BST (UK) »
Anyone care to look up Ann and Marmaduke Bennison in the 1851 and 1861 censuses for Sleaford? Ann was born about 1820 in Sleaford and Marmaduke in Hull in 1815.

Thank you both very much. The more I see of this couple, the more convinced I am that they had no children, only apprentices!

Hi, I’ve tracked back from Francis Bennison of Prospect St Aberystwyth to his father Edward who was a stonemason, Bolton and Manchester, he traces to family including Marmaduke of Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Francis son Frank died WW1. Francis owned trawler Albatross fishing Liverpool, Hoylake, off Isle of Man, Aberystwyth, Newquay. See CLIP Crew Lists index project website too for Francis.

Francis wife is Sarah Ellen nee Davies, my Davies family, check census for  shop in Aberystwyth, pub etc. Lots to be found yet for Bennison. Hope this helps just widen research and good luck.
Regards Gareth.
