Who did he marry and when?

Not with parents in 1891 and no 1891/1901 entry with an Argyll birthplace

Did he die between 1881-1891 or emigrate

There is a passenger entry for a 19yr old Frank Paterson leaving Glasgow for Canada on 16.4.1891 but that would mean if it was Francis - he should be on the 1891 census

There is a Frank Patterson (2 T's) on the 1891 - b Inverkeith 1872 and living in Forfar with his mother so it could be him on the passenger list

Hi all ,

An online tree has him married to Catherine Morgan(married 1896 Aberdeen ?)
First child born Gordon Highlander barracks Aberdeen , which may explain why he is not on the 1891 and 1901 Census.
There is an F Paterson 3026 Gordon Highlanders Boer War 1899 - 1902

You'll need to verify if any of the above is your Francis.

Hi Folks,

First off an apology, the man whose descendents I seek is not a relative, I was researching another F. Paterson and went off on the wrong track, this man was the "wrong " man I was looking at and obtained his military records, it is to that end I was trying to find his descendents, so I could pass them on if required/wanted. However your efforts are not in vain as I will pursue your info hopefully will find someone. Thanks from an old fool.

Jim Paterson.
