Fisher family of London, England/McCalmont, Pennsylvania
« on: Wednesday 13 February 13 17:44 GMT (UK) »
My great great grand aunt Mary Ann Maynard was born in Islington, London c1867, and she married James Joseph Fisher, who was born in Marylebone, London c1865.

They had, as far as I know, four children -

Herbert Fisher bc1887, England
Gertrude Fisher bc1891 Pennsylvania
Rosia Fisher bc1894, Pennsylvania
James Fisher bc1898, Pennsylvania

I can find them in 1900, where they are living in McCalmont, Jefferson, Pennsylvania (having emigrated in 1888) and where James Joseph is a miner, but after that I can't find any trace of them, Can someone help me find them after 1900, please?

Stephen :)

I think this might be James with Gertrude & the younger James in 1910 - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MGZQ-9KG  The image shows that it's a second marriage for James and his wife Eliz. and they had been married for 4 years.  If that's them, Mary Ann probably died between 1900 & 1906.

This looks like the marriage for that James:  https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VF3P-TCG  Do the parents' names fit your guy?  The certificate says that he married his first wife on 20 Jan. 1888 & his first wife died 2 Oct. 1905.

I found a newspaper report of Curtis Lester's death.  It says his father died on Aug. 3 of that year.  The surviving siblings mentioned included Mrs. Gertrude Windows of Akron, Ohio and James Fisher, Jr. of Elyria, Ohio.
