James Cecil Parke (1881-1946)
« on: Friday 15 February 13 13:25 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for some biographical information on James Cecil Parke, one of Ireland's greatest ever sportsmen. I'm planning to write a biographical piece on him in the near future.

He was born in Clones, County Monaghan, in 1881 and died in Llandudno, Wales, in 1946. I was wondering whether anyone might be able to provide any concrete biographical information on him, such as his parents' names, siblings' names, when he married, whether he had any children, what he did for a living, etc?

There is some quite detailed information on him in one or two websites, but I'm not sure how reliable it is and would like to use only verifiable information.

Any help would be appreciated.

A simple search via Google finds a previous thread with much of the above information already searched for and posted- perhaps you will be able to find more by doing some searching-
