Thanks.
This whole part of the family have remarkably little to find in newspapers. It makes them really hard to find dates and stuff, they rarely even put in family notices.

One of these days something may pop up in the records, Blake.  I waited 18 years to break down one of my brick walls.   ::)   ;D

Could this be a possible death for James? He’d be about the right age…..even if that is accurate.

James MORLEY aged 79 of Adelaide died 2nd October 1903 at Adelaide
No relatives listed.
Ref = Ade S 297/308

That could be his death.
What about the death of John in 1919?

Here's the 1919 death for John.....

John MORLEY aged 77 and single of Davenport died 10th December 1919 at Davenport.
No relatives listed.
Ref = Fro 434/4
If his age is correct, that means a birth of about 1847, which could fit.

I've also found that the passenger list for the James MORLEY who arrived on the Himalaya has him aged 50, a labourer, from Surrey.   :-\

The James Morley who died in 1903 is buried at West Terrace Cemetery.  Search here:

and have a look at the site record.
Cheers, Chris.

Thanks.
John was the one who we know did marry though, isn't it.
However, I did look and John and Elizabeth aren't buried in plots near each other.

have a look at the site record.

That is a really odd plot. Six seemingly unrelated people buried there in the same year. And 8 buried altogether.
