Hi , is any one able to find details on Amelia Florence Challis, she was listed on a previous search
as the mother of Charles Royten Challis b.22 June 1920, I would like to find out who her parents were.
I have a record of Florence May Challis b.23 Oct 1880, daughter of William and Charlotte Challis of
Nile, maybe she is the same

The North Western Advocate and the Emu Bay Times
Launceston, TAS, Tuesday, 13th July 1915,
Amelia Florence CHALLIS, described as a young woman,  made court proceedings against an Alex F SCOTT for preliminary expenses for a child not yet born. He was ordered to pay some costs then (& given 3 weeks to stump up with the money) , and to pay a further £25 after the birth of the child (which would lapse if the child was not born by the end of the year).

This is the death notice in the Launceston Examiner 5th July 1945.
David William CHALLIS died on the 4th July 1945 at the General Hospital Launceston. Age 83.
