Looking for a Elizabeth Martin who gave birth to an illigitamate son John Albert in 1912 in Newcastleton, occupation stated as Housekeeper. Any help gratefully received.

If you have the birth certificate does it have any writing at the left hand edge ?
It's possible that there is an RCE(Register of Corrected Entries) that might name the father  :-\
