hi would someone please be able to look up john arch born 1847-48 henlow bedfordshire on marraige certificate it says his father was john arch a farmer but thats all i know about his parents if anyone could help thanks

There is a christening showing on there at Henlow 18 June 1848 but no parents listed.

If the above is correct his mother could be a 'Jackson'

think she might have had him out of wed-lock maybe...on his marriage cert 1874 it says his father was deceased ill have to look for any john arch's that died in henlow before 1874 thanks

The only Arch family in Beds lived in the adjoining parish of Clifton, where one of them was John Arch, an unmarried farmer. He died on 7 Nov 1861 and his will was probated in 1864. I'd be tempted to get a copy of the will from York to see if he mentioned an illegitimate son John.

Interesting as someone has a Tree with John Arch 1798 as the Father of John SIMMS 1855. His Mother Martha was born c 1819 Cardington.
