William Muir McCutcheon, Matilda Maclachlin. Ayrshire
« on: Saturday 09 March 13 11:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi,  I am trying to trace my GGrandparents who moved from Ayrshire to Cheshire prior to moving. Married in Wirral in 1889.  William Muir McCutcheon was born c1854 Kirkmichael,Ayrs on 1911 Census, and d.1942 Liskeard.  Matilda Maclachlin (spelling according to daughters' birth cert., but possibly McLaughlin) was born c1864 The Den,Ayrs. on 1911 Census, and died 1949 Droxford.   Any help would be most appreciated in tracing Scottish roots, Dave.
Newall, Godfrey, Maskell (Essex)
Hugill, (Yorkshire)
McCutcheon, Maclachlin(Ayrshire)

Wonder if The Den Ayrshire could be Dalry Ayrshire.
Matilda McLachlan - 30 June 1863 Dalry Ayr Scotland. Parents William McLachlan and Margaret McGorman ?

Hi Dave

Have you got a copy of that 1889 marriage cert to be able to confirm fathers' names for William and Matilda with what Sandra has found?
