SIT dropdown list of English Counties
« on: Tuesday 12 March 13 12:13 GMT (UK) »
Herefordshire is missing its "s".  Does this effect searching?  How will existing SIT records be corrected?
Richard Wernham (Berkshire 18th century),
William Hissey (1805 to 1813, Hampstead Norris),
Kapirin (Siberia 19th Century),
Kitching 1850,
Mary Howse born 1806 ish,
Chris Truelove marr. John Pocock 2-7-1696, Kintbury, Berks

Hi Pejic,

Thanks for pointing this out.  And sorry for the delay in answering, but this was in "How to use RootsChat" so I missed it.  I've now moved it to the Technical Help / Reference Library board.

If you are using the drop-down list for county names, then there is no problem as the names are displayed fully, but only the Chapman County Code* are stored in the SIT and DBSIG databases.

I'll correct that at the next opportuinity .

regards,
Bob
