How to Improve Readability of a Worn Headstone Picture
« on: Wednesday 13 March 13 01:53 GMT (UK) »
Would anyone have any suggestions as to how I could read what was written on an old headstone?  I was sent photographs from Ireland. Part of the headstone is very worn, with some of the inscription  hard to read.

Has anyone had success with photo enhancing software or is there a company specializing in this?

Thank you.

You could try posting the photo in the Photograph & Restoration forum - someone may be able to make it more legible by tweaking it.  Or the Deciphering & Recognition forum...not quite sure which one would be best.
