I'm looking for descendants of Roy Pomeroy, Film Director, born in Darjeeling India, 1892 and died Los Angeles, California 1947. He married Sylvia in 1922.

He may have married Sylvia in 1922 www.searchdictionaries.com/?q=Roy+Pomeroy+%28film+director%29 but he showed with Elizabeth in 1940 in LA:

Roy J Pomeroy 47 Inventor Technician, b. India
Elizabeth Pomeroy 46 wife b. Kentucky

How are you connected to his line?

I don't think there were any children from his marriage to Sylvia either. From 1930 in LA:

Roy J Pomeroy 36 Director, motion pictures b. India
Sylvia J Pomeroy 36 b. Kentucky
Gregorio Lima 37 servant b. Phillipines

I didn't know about the second wife.
My interest lies with his elder brother, Arthur William Jobbins Pomeroy, also born in India in  1891. Their father was W.H. Jobbins who worked in Calcutta and died between 1894 and 1896, no record can be found. Their mother was Jeanette Shephard Jobbins. I have marriage data and birth records. However, sometime between Jobbins's death and 1906 Jeanette married a Pomeroy. where or when I don't know, and the 2 boya adopted the name Jobbins-Pomeroy, later dropping the Jobbins to an initial J.

Need to know who this Pomeroy was, I believe an American national. I was hoping that some descendent of Roy might be able to fill the gap.

Arthur married a Katherine Pethick in England on 15 Dec 1919. They went to Ghana and later to Jamaica where they had 2 children and Arthur died in 1956. see Pethick thread.

Considering that both Sylvia & the wife mentioned in 1940 were both born circa 1894 and in Kentucky, I think Sylvia & Elizabeth may be one in the same.  The California death index (available at www.familysearch.org) has entries for Sylvia Pomeroy and Elizabet Pomeroy who have the same birth & death dates, so maybe one was a birth name and the other a middle name or nickname.

http://americanpomeroys.blogspot.com/2013/02/roy-jobbins-pomeroy-oscar-winner-and.html  This seems to indicate that Pomeroy was originally a middle name & Roy's stepfather was named James Bernard Scale.   

However, I found a passenger list for Roy from 1908 that lists his mother as Mrs. J. Pomeroy, 50 Grove End Rd., London.

Given the information that shellyeaq found there is a Jennette Shephard Jobbins marrying a James Bernard Scale 1895 Marylebone London Oct/Dec quarter.
