Hi ... not sure where to post this request so will start here.
Henry Courtenay Cayzer was a Ships Captain bc 1820 Cornwall died 1866 at sea.
He married Elizabeth Frances Dunbar, born about 1824 unknown where, and died 1907 England

They meet when Elizabeth immigrated to Sydney in 1846 on the same ship that Henry was Captain, arriving 17th April.

They married on 14 Dec 1849 at Parramatta and the SMH announced their nuptials, with Elizabeth being the niece of James Byrnes, my ggggf.

What I am trying to ascertain how Elizabeth and the Cayzer connect with James Byrnes, who was born at Edgeworth Town, County Longford, Ireland and came as a very young child, in 1808 with his parents.
Thanks Bonnie

We know from the 1901 census that she was born in County Longford.

http://longford.rootsireland.ie/ has a baptism for Elizabeth Dunbar in 1819 - that is a possibility.

That PPV service also has the marriage of Samuel Dunbar and Mary-Jane Byrns in Co Longford in 1817.

Hello ShaunJ ... many thanks, much appreciated.  Have now found Elizabeth and her sons on English census.
Will now post a new topic on Rootschat Ireland site.
Thanks again
