There are quite a few McFarlane burials, if you recognise the following wives let me know -
These 4 were all married to men called William McFarlane. Jane Kay. Ann Gilmour. Margaret Allan. Margaret Sharp.
These 2 were married to men called George McFarlane. Ann Mauchline. Ann Meechan/Machan. (I wonder if this is just 1 person and bad spelling?).
Also have Joseph McFarlane & Janet/Jessie Waugh.

Lodger.

Again as everything is falling into place, I have a note from a while back but not 100% confirmed that William McFarlane, the above mentioned son who died in 1919 was married to Margaret Sharp.

OK, here's another load of McFarlanes, all related in some way.
Extracted from the Day Book, all the following are buried in the old churchyard of Cambusnethan.

JOSEPH McFARLANE. Pauper, Wishaw, aged 59 years, married.
Parents - George McFarlane & Ann Mauchline.
18th February 1864.

MARY McFARLANE. Wishaw, aged 14 years.
Parents - Joseph McFarlane & Janet Waugh.
16th DEcember 1863.

JAMES McFARLANE. Joiner, Wishaw, aged 38 years, married.
Parents - Joseph McFarlane & Janet Waugh.
11th January 1866.

ALEXANDER McFARLANE. Tailor, Wishaw, aged 26 years, married.
Parents - Joseph McFarlane & Janet Waugh.
1st July 1872.

AGNES HARRIS. Housewife, Wishaw, aged 37 years, married.
Parents - Joseph McFarlane & Janet Waugh.
1st February 1881.

MARION HARRIS. Wishaw, aged 6 months.
Parents - Thomas Harris & Agnes McFarlane.
7th August 1865.

MARION HARRIS. Wishaw, aged 11 weeks.
Parents - Thomas Harris & Agnes McFarlane.
17th March 1881.

JANET HARRIS. Wishaw, aged 13 years.
Parents - Thomas Harris & Agnes McFarlane.
14th September 1875.

JOSEPH HARRIS. Wishaw, aged 13 months.
Parents - Thomas Harris & Agnes McFarlane.
3rd December 1877.

I would imagine that all of the above are in the same plot and this is what the Plot Book has, but of course it only begins in the 3rd quarter of the 19th century.
The owner is listed as Janet Waugh. (Joseph's widow)

In the South lair -
- - - - - Harris, no age given. 3rd May 1886.
William Dalziel, aged 3 years & 6 months. 8th May 1886.
John McFarlane, aged 66 years. 5th July 1898.
In the Centre lair -
Agnes Harris, no age given. 1st February 1884.
Marion Harris, aged 11 weeks, 17th March 1881.
Robert Dalziel, aged 59 years, 30th June 1900.
In the North lair -
Janet McFarlane, aged 85 years, 25th January 1892.
Christina Dalziel, aged 90 years, 28th May 1938.

To complete the Harris line, here are 2 entries from the new cemetery records for plot E930.

THOMAS HARRIS. Stocktaker in steelworks. Wishaw, aged 24 years, unmarried.
Parents - Thomas Harris & Agnes McFarlane.
6th July 1896.

I'm not finished yet, it's a blizzard outside right now anyway!

From the Day Book.

AGNES FALCONER. Wishaw, aged 34 years, married.
Parents - William McFarlane & Jane Kay.
Interred in the old churchyard on 4th April 1874.

GEORGE FALCONER. Wishaw, aged 9 days.
Parents - William Falconer & Agnes McFarlane.
Interred in common ground, 2nd April 1874.

---------------------
From the Day Book -

JAMES McFARLANE. Weaver & pauper, Wishaw, aged 74 years, married.
Parents - George McFarlane & Ann Meechan.
Interred in the old churchyard, 26th November 1875.

JANET McDONALD. Housewife, Wishaw, aged 86 years, widow.
Parents - George McFarlane & ann Machan.
Interred in the old churchyard, 21st June 1879.

Because of the date of burial for the above Janet, I found a plot to match!

Plot owner listed as Janet McFarlane.

In the South lair -
Margaret McDonald, aged 68 years, 4th May 1887.
In the Centre lair -
Janet McDonald, aged 81 years, 21st June 1879.
George McDonald, aged 83 years, 25th February 1905.
In the North lair -
Ann Hunter, aged 75 years, 6th April 1904.

That, you will be happy to hear, is everything I can find!

good luck with your research.

Sorry, thought I was finished but I'm not  ::)

On the other side of this stone is the following inscription -

"George McDonald died 23rd February 1905 aged 83 years. His wife Margaret Baillie died 1st May 1887 aged 68 years".
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.

O.K. so I have sifted through the wealth of information that Lodger (a huge thank you) has kindly supplied and verified the ones that are definately mine and will continue to pursue the rest as I believe most are somehow related but I am still in pursuit of my Great Great Grandmother Agnes McFarlane, maiden surname Mitchell. ???

Agnes died 9th May 1892 at 47 Flemington Row, Cambuslang

Lodger, please do not think I don't appreciate what you have supplied as without your help I would not have had ANY of the burial information you gave. You are a credit to the Rootschat community ;D

Kindest regards
Liz

No sooner said than done  8)

I found her in another plot, no Day Book survives for the old churchyard from mid-1881 until 1906 so she didn't show. This time I searched by date and I'm sure this is her. She is in another McFarlane plot in the old churchyard, there was a headstone back in 1983 when I transcribed the stones but it was very badly broken and almost illegible even then, so it will have completely gone by now I expect.
Anyway, the plot owner is listed as Isabella McFarlane. 3 interments in the Plot Book, all in the south lair.

ISABELLA MITCHELL, aged 55 years, 22nd March 1881.
AGNES McFARLANE, aged 44 years, 11th May 1982.
ISABELLA PRENTICE, aged 4 years, 15th November 1893.

found the entry for the 1881 burial in the Day Book, just before it ends in the middle of the year.

ISABELLA MITCHELL, housewife, Wishaw, aged 55 years, widow.
Parents - James McFarlane & Jane Prentice.
Old churchyard, 22nd March 1881.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.
