Hi and welcome to Rootschat

Can you tell us exactly what type of info you are looking for?

Do you already have the families on the various censuses?

What was Charlotte's maiden name as there are a couple of possible marriages on freebmd

This is the family in Northampton in 1851

Thomas Warner 33 printers compositer b Newport Pagnell Bucks
Charlotte   34 b Adderbury Oxfordshire
Mary M  9 b Leamington warwickshire
Edwin Thomas   8   ditto
all following children b Kettering Northants
William  6
John Adams 4
Ellen Louisa  2
Eliza N  5mths
HO107 Piece 1744 Folio 170 Page 22

In view of son John's middle name - I'm guessing he married Charlotte Adams 18.1.1841 at St Nicholas Warwickshire

Thomas Warner - printer - father Thomas- occ shoemaker
Charlotte Adams - father William occ labourer

Both signed their names but I can't decipher the witnesses names - neither were Warner or Adams

Thanks for this Carol. I have also found out that Thomas senior married Sarah Mills on 7-2-1815. Now I have to find his father, any suggestions where I look next?

Thomas senior is not found on the 1841 Bucks census which means we have no birthyear to work from or know whether he was born Bucks or elsewhere

If he married in 1815 - a broad birthyear assumption would be 1785-1795 but he could have been older

I am fairly certain that Thos/Thomas Warner was born in 1795 in Buckinghamshire possibly in Newport Pagnell. But I cannot find his birth or baptism or marriage to find his parents.

You say above that he married Sarah Mills in 1815

Yes they were married at "the great meeting independent chapel in Newport Pagnell but the record (found on familysearch.org) does not show any parents or birthplaces. I did say that I am new to this, am I doing something wrong?

No you're not doing anything wrong but you will get very little useful info from the marriage cert for FH purposes I'm afraid.

Fathers names were not shown on marriage entries prior to 1.7.1837 which is the date when Civil Registration was introduced.  Mothers names are never shown on English marriage certs

All you will get will be on the lines of the following - some of which you may already know

Names, date and venue

Spinster/bachelor - or widow/widower
Age = Full (over 21yrs) or Minor (under 21yrs)
Of this parish (OTP) - does not necessarily mean they were both born in that parish - just that they satisfied the short residential qualifying time required to enable them to marry there (approx 3wks)

The name and signature of the person marrying them plus the signatures of the 2 witnesses (occasionally more than 2 witnesses but not usual)
