Hi Dave
Good to hear from you..  Christopher was my wifes grandfather. Her father was William (Bill) born in 1913 in Morpeth.  Bill and his family lived in Sth Elmsall where he was a miner.   I've visited the Thiepval monument on the Somme where Christophers name is engraved in the stone in a very prominent position.

Good to hear from you too!
I can vaguely remember my dad (who has passed) mentioning an uncle Bill, I don't remember meeting him, I was born in 59, my older brother & sister may remember Bill, it must have been moving visiting Thiepal, I have visited a ww2 cemetery in France, Christopher's War records are in Edinburgh & Alnwick castles, I have seen them, it's the same as the cwgc, just a couple of lines
