Postcard for colour and possible date

I would love to see this photo of my grand dad in colour and a date if possible. It is on a post card which has POST CARD British made on the back.

Back of postcard. Sorry its so big, having trouble with new scanner. :-[ Actual siza is approx. 3.5 x 5.5 inches

Great photo to colour.

A great number of my ancestors in Yorkshire worked with horses ... and my grandfather was in the 5th Royal Irish Lancers and served in the UK, Ireland, France, India and the North West Frontier :-)

Beautiful Tony. Love the colours you chose :D.Most of my ancestors were Agricultural labourers, working on farms.

Well, horses are hard to date :) but my guess would be between about 1907/08 or so and the war. It's a divided back but no inland postage notation, and the print goes all the way to the edges of the card on the front. Just a guess, and you may get others.

Thanks for your help China. I realise there is not much to date it from as men's clothing & horses didn't change so much ;D My granddad was still wearing the same style cap when he died in his late 80's ;D ;D
If it was taken in the village he was born, it would have been pre 1915 so that fits with your suggestion.
