(BTW I see that Francis Smith was a boarder in the household of one Elizabeth Radcliffe at 7 Amberley Street, Toxteth Park, in 1891. Indexed as James, which is why I hadn't found him before.)
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

It's actually Mary Sang who is my relative, but I do collect information about in-laws if they are interesting, and Sarah certainly is that.

The 1938 Crockford's entry suggests that he was Vicar of St Mary's, Lowton until 1917, and Rector of Lowton from 1914. I note that the probate listing gives his address at St Luke's Rectory, Lowton, but I am not familiar enough with the distinctions between vicars and rectors to understand the significance of such a change.
