"Press" - 27 July 1885 - page 1 / column 6

Funeral notice for Peter CAMPBELL, late of Southbridge ... to be buried at Addington Cemetery, Christchurch.

Christchurch Cemeteries database shows a record of burial but there are no additional details. (They have the date of death wrong too.  Should be 25th July with burial 28th July. )
No other CAMPBELL's appear to be buried in the vicinity.

Regarding the Campbells on the Tudor. On the manifest page following the Campbell entry is Robert Ferguson, his wife Elizabeth and daughter Janet Bruce Ferguson. Elizabeth born 1841 is a daughter of Peter and Mary Campbell. I have quite a lot on the Campbells including BDM certs for anyone interested.
Cheers

Hi Tracy. I have quite a lot on this family as I have been researching them for some time now off and on. What family line do you come through? Hope to hear from you. Cheers

Oh how exciting! My father's maternal grandparents were John Duncan King and Isabella Maude Abbott who were first cousins, their mothers being sisters Mary and Isabella Campbell (again, from memory as I'm on my phone. Husbands I think James King and William Abbott). They've been one of my more recent dead-ends for some time now.
