Thanks Debra and Cando

I am trying to justify whether I buy anymore certificates on this one or move on to the next person I can't find.

They are extended family and I am at present putting the "interesting" stories together. I am planning on writing a book but I dont want just the usual names and dates family history that others seem to come up with.

My Freemans' decended from one 13yo convict and I think a book about some of the hardships and triumphs his decendents experienced would be interesting for future generations - especially as I have found at least one person who was involved in almost  all of Australia's historical moments.

Cheers, Ted

Red post: I think you have made up my mind for me Cando - off to find the credit card. Lotties Death cert instead of buying dinner tonight LOL. (mmmm now what am I cooking instead?)

It is very puzzling that LOTTIE would say she had not seen him since 1914, but the informant on the DC of Murray Edward JINNETTE  believed his father was ROBERT Ladds.

That birth must have been round 1925. :D

Very poor memory if the informant is correct ;)

Information on death certificates is not always reliable. I know. That is why I am planning on writing my own before I go.

There are two further births to Robert and Lottie at Eaglehawk in 1918 [female]Edna Pearl who died in 2007 and 1920 [male] Thomas Leonard who died in 2010and the death of another son born c1925. Murray Edward who died in 1979   Both parents were enrolled to vote at Eaglehawk in 1924.

JINNETTE Murray Edward
Father Robert Ladds  Mother Lottie Eliza  FREEMAN
At Swan Hill  54 years  1979  Reg#14764

Marriage
JINNETTE Sylvia Lottie
WARD Oswald Meirion
1935 Reg#14429 I haven't found her birth but the family remember her well

How many children are named on Lottie's death certificate? Will let you know when I find the credit card

Cheers
Cando

Thanks Cando

Red post again: Thanks Sue - I think this family liked to tell porkies. He was a widow in 1941 on his enlistment papers LOL. I am beginning to think it is a case of Can't live with 'em Can't live with out 'em.

The TROVE article in 1915 (when Lottie was deserted/living in Deniliquin) mentions a six month old baby so Sylvia was probably born in NSW in 1914?

Hi Tedscout,

My name is Chantelle Commisso I am the granddaughter to John William Jinnette, he was my mother Donna's father. My mum was b1961 d1986, the date that John William Jinnette had passed away was in 2003. I'm currently trying to do the same thing that your doing and I've been hitting a brick wall nearly everytime, I get to a certain name then I cant go any further. If there is anything that you would like to know more about just let me know and I will see what I can help you with and maybe we can help each other with what we both have.
