william and martha
« on: Wednesday 24 April 13 22:09 BST (UK) »
HI ALL

I dont know if I am on the right board but if  I am could someone do a lookup for me.
I am trying to find a marriage between my 3xgt grandparents.
They were Martha Draper born 1809 Bog Mine, Shropshire and William Griffiths b1806 Mold, Flintshire
Their first child was born in 1832 so I would assume they got married around1830 ish.
Any help would be really appreciated
Thanx Lorrae

Hello bonehunter,The Bog is a place near Pennerly, Shelve . There was a lead mine there with some houses and eventually a school which is now an information centre and very helpful it is.
The registration district is often put as Forden, perhaps this may help you.
There are records at the school/info centre and pehaps if you write to :- The Bog centre
                                                                                                        The Bog.
                                                                                                         Pennerley.
Shropshire . Someone  may be able to help you. Enclose a S.A.E. as it is run by volunteers.
Hope this is helpful. Viktoria.
