Victorian Couple - What's the Occasion & Restore Please...

Hi there,

I know that these ancestors were married in 1891. I know that Priscilla was born in 1871 and James was born in 1867. I'm pretty confident that the date of this photo is mid 1890's but i cannot work out what the occasion may be? - I do not have the original so i cannot ascertain the actual size or any other identifying features... A restore and colour / sepia would be much appreciated so i can rightly display them in the Family bible...

Oh my word,she must have come from around our way where the saying was "if you're gonna 'ave one 'ave a biggun".
The Gigot sleeve got to this size towards the end of it's life around mid-late 1890's so you're near enough with your date.

Thanks Jim, the sleeves are some of the biggest I've seen!
Any thoughts as to what the occasion was?.. Priscilla would
Have been abt 25... 'Would that be a reason for a
Studio sitting?..
