Thanks for that Steve,

a lot of my relatives came from Downley and the West Wycombe area and Chipping Wycombe. I'll have a look at what CD's they've got and buy some.

thanks again.

Ann  :D ;) ;D

Sarah EUSTACE, the child of Elizabeth EUSTACE of Saunderton, was baptized at Wycombe Union Workhouse, Saunderton, on 24 Aug 1855.  There is no mention of the child's father.  This information comes from 'Wycombe Union - Workhouse Baptisms 1853-1900' published by The EurekA Partnership.  See http://eurekapartnership.com/page9.htm

The EurekA Partnership has also published a series of parish registers for High (or Chipping/Chepping) Wycombe.  See http://eurekapartnership.com/page3.htm  Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist Baptisms can be found via the following link http://eurekapartnership.com/page4.htm and a series of booklets containing miscellaneous records of various parishes (including West Wycombe) at http://eurekapartnership.com/page11.htm

Thank you for that Orpheus. I hadn't heard of the Eureka Partnership. I have ordered 2 CDs from Bucksfhs. I ordered what I thought was Sarah's brother's birth cert, but I realised after that it was the wrong one. I was hoping to find out if Henry Eustace was born in the workhouse in 1853 and if he had a father recorded.

Thank for all your efforts, it is much appreciated. I am at least closer to working out the family line.

Ann

Hello'
I am a volunteer research working with Chalk, Cherries and Chairs project in the Chilterns. My project is to find and research families who lived in the local Workhouses and were lacemakers, straw platters and chairmakers. I discovered your interest and would very much like to include your ancestral relation and research further.

I would like your agreement to do so and would appreciate whatever information you can let me have.
Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter
I would be happy for you to research some of my ancestors. My father's family lived in the High Wycombe area and most of them were in the chair making industry. Sarah Eustace was my 2 x great grandmother. What other information do want?

Regards

Ann

Dear Ann,

I would like to obtain as much information as you can give me, names, dates and occupations of your family. I am attempting to find 3-4 families to write about and find out where and how they lived. I live near Saunderton and know the area well. The project will be published and exhibited on a permanent basis.

For you information please look at https://www.chilternsaonb.org/projects/CCC.html
This explains the project in detail. Our section is titled Woodlanders Lives and landscapes. I would send you more information but I can't see how to insert a document.
I appreciate your help.
Peter
