Death Look-ups Please

Hi All,

SYDNEY REGINALD FULLER SANDYS and his wife M...... SANDYS (born Grieves), arrived in New Zealand (from South Africa) in 1907.
Sydney served on the Western Front in WW1: was wounded in action, shipped back to NZ, and  invalided  out in 1919.  His death was registered in Auckland 7th April 1951.

Sydney & M..... had two sons as follow:-  STUART FULLER SANDYS birth regd. Auckland 27 Sept 1907 :  and LIONEL ARDEN FULLER SANDYS birth regd. Auckland 14 June 1910.

Would some be kind enough to see if they can find out whether/ or when STUART and/or LIONEL died,
and let me have any details they find please?

Also, the Christian name of Sydney's wife if it should show up anywhere ---- or indeed anything at all they may turn up about the SANDYS ; including any surviving family who may be interested in the enormous detail I have on Sydney's UK origins.

Hi Percy,

There is a Probate (will) for a Sydney Reginald FULLER-SANDYS a retired cleck d. 1953 at Waiheke Island, off Auckland. You can order a copy of this from Archives NZ Auckland Office on-line.

A Lionel Arden FULLER-SANDYS / SANDYS married an Edna May RULE in 1934.

I might have found Sydney's wife "M...... SANDYS" in the 'NZ Gazette':

1916 NZ Gazette, Vol 1, p.1063.
FULLER-SANDYS Mabel Mrs, Registered midwife, of Auckland

1917 NZ Gazette, p.1357.
FULLER-SANDYS Mabel, midwife, of Auckland

I'll look for those deaths next week.

That's wonderful.  And so quick.   I am sure you have got the right Sydney :  thank you so much.

If you COULD locate the deaths of Stuart and Lionel that would be great.  They both served in WW II and the
NZ Defence Dept. won't release their Service records to me without proof of death.

Hi, rang Someone this morning, sorry didnt grab his name. He is Sydneys Grandson.

Said it would be ok to give him a ring.
