I have a family bible presented to Thomas and Eliza Hall by "the family of the late Thomas Boyd esq"
Who was Thomas Boyd? The Halls were in the Cranham/Upminster area.
Any information most grateful :)

The bible was presented in April 1873

"Useful furniture to be sold by auction .... by direction of the Execcutors of the late Thomas Boyd Esq. of Cranham Hall....."

Hi  my name is sally and going through my mothers things we too hav a bible from thomas boyd presented to our great granfather  james thacker    and we use to live in front lane cranham upminster

Hi penpen i lived in cranham twice in the 50s  my grandparents who were charles and may  odell  owned the post office and general stores  in front lane. My grandmother was thacker before she married grandad and it was her father james that was presented the bible

Hi again! My Dad wonders what your name is. He is Jim Tyler b 1939.
