It looks like Edward and Arthur Joy were brothers,sons of Thomas Jones,blacksmith see

Thanks Roger,it could be very interesting,there is a Civil Marriage in Chester in 1877 of an Arthur Jones to a Margaret Jones.The mention of Brymbo is quite interesting as well as the Catherine Jane Jones has descendants that settled there around 1900 or after.

It may relate to Edward and Arthur's mother apparently having a middle name of Joyce in the 1861 Census-RG10/5648/39/16.

A rather tentative marriage offering could be one on Family Search given at Bistre Flintshire between a Thomas Jones and a Jane Davies in 1833.

A note in the margin of the baptism of Thomas and Jane's son Francis gives "Jellit" or similar.
This leads to her being Jane Joy Jellett,baptised 1805 Hawarden to William(labourer) and Mary(nee Joy).
Can't find the marriage for Thomas and Jane currently.

Thanks Roger,yes I have noted the Surname Jellett in some of the Trees surrounding the associated Census entries of this family.I have also contacted someone with Arthur Joy's grandaughter a Doris Rowlands Hughes born in Neston in 1903 in their Tree.

I have made contact and had replies from someone on Genes Reunites who I mentioned.Whilst I'm awaiting a further reply,the Catherine who married the John Jones looks very much like the daughter of the Catherine.indeed it seems the other one may have died before 1881.
