Victor only appears in the 1911 census?!

So it looks as if he changed his name! ::)

Who does he give as his father on his marriage certificate?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

On the latest census, he is apparently working with a circus?!

If we assume that he really was born in Leeds, then this might be him?
Births, September qtr 1885
Leeds district    vol9b, page 455

Shackleton, Victor S

On the 1901 census, this Victor is a stepson - possibly he ran away from home?
Class: RG13; Piece: 4067; Folio: 91; Page: 9
10 Quarry Fold, Baildon, Yorkshire

Davy, Charles S  Head  M  32  Cab Driver (Groom)  b Wellington, Somerset
Davy, Alice M  Wife  F  39  b Leeds
Shackleton, Victor S  Stepson  M  15  Spinner(?) in Worsted Mill  b Leeds
Shackleton, Harry M  Stepson  M  14  Grocery Apprentice  b Leeds
Shackleton, Tom H  Stepson  M  10  b Leeds
Shackleton, Fred  Stepson  M  7  b Leeds

This Victor appears to be missing from the 1911 census?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Hello Kay

Thank you for the help

I have been told Victor would say he was the 7th child of a 7th child which is a problem with this one

The initial S. is the only proof so far as I found so others

How on earth did you see the S. on the birth and marriage certificate
I don't know how to look at them do you ?

He is definately  the one who says he is 26 in the 1911 census.he was working in the circus, living Redcar,he says born in Leeds Yorks
Thank you any more ideas

FreeBMD will show you the GRO Indexes. NOT the certificates! ;D

It is not possible to view certificates without buying them (in England/Wales).
