I have the following on Thomas Gayton:
children:
Jane Gayton (Gatton) (1670-1670)
Jane Gayton (Gatton) (b.1673)
Johanna Gayton (b.1680)
John Gayton (b.1682)
All of the above were born in St, Thomas, Portsmouth Hampshire.
Thomas and his wife Jane were not originally from Hampshire. There is no record of a marriage for them in Hampshire. I found a marriage between a Thomas Guetton and a Jane cock in 1654. Could this be there marriage?
Also, according to Thomas' will dated 1692 7 children were alive at that time. He died in 1694. Can't seem to find the other children, are there any sites to help me? Familysearch hasn't come up with anything useful. There are too many results.
Can't seem to find Jane's death record either. She was alive in 1692 as far as I'm aware as Thomas states that he leaves his estate his wife.
SOme help would be greatly appreciated.
