Hello Damian,

I think Evan and Anne Phillips lived near Narberth Station. Station Road is not very far from the Crematorium. I can't find Penmas so could have been a cottage nearer Llanddewi. Evan and Anne actually lived in Lampeter Velfrey Parish.

I have a distant connection to you through Levi's daughter Roseanna. Her son Oswald "Ossie" Rowlands married my mother's sister.

Roseanna died in Whitland in 1955, and her husband John Rees Rowlands died there in 1956. Both are buried in Whitland Church, and I have a photo of their grave if you would like a copy.

Regards,

Rhosgoch

It looks like "Penmaes", Llanddewi in the 1841 and 1851 census. As best I can make out it is near Scapin Farm, south of the new by pass. The area around Commercial and Scapin seems to be the main village, and as Evan was a fishmonger he must have been close to the village.

In the 1861 Evan lives at Whitley ?, and in the 1871 and 1881 he lives at Station Road. I think these are all on the road from Penblewin roundabout to Narberth Station. Whitely is about half way along the road, and Station Rd is by Narberth Station.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip in glorious weather.

Regards,

Rhosgoch

I have certificate in front of me that says my great grandfather and my great great grandfather lived in
Penmaes llandewy velfrey Pembroke.
Their names are Benjamin phillips born 1829 and his son my great grandfather meshak phillips born 1871 they were 52 and 10 on the 1881 census . I guess we could be related . Susan Phillips hare
