« on: Monday 10 June 13 18:33 BST (UK) »
Hi, Does anyone know how the name ANPRODOMINOFSKY might translate to ANDERSON and what might be the real spelling!  I am researching a Charles Walter Anderson born Berlin abt 1838 died 1907 Warwickshire and have found that his real name was Carolius August Anprodminofsky.  Any ideas??

There's that spelling in the Gazette  http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/23510/pages/3642/page.pdf

And this one in son Newland Augustus's birth registration in Derby in 1869:

 Augustus N DeAnphrodominofsky

There's a marriage announcement in the Birmingham Journal of 12 December 1868:

On 2nd Inst at Hall Green.....Carolius Fridercus Augustus De Anfrodominofsky, manufacturer of this town, eldest son of Carolius De Anfrodominofsky, of St Petersburg, and Elizabeth Richardson, second daughter of Mr William Richardson of Hillfield Farm, Solihull,  and of Hall Green, Yardley, Worcestershire
