William BLUNT - SANGER's circus
« on: Wednesday 19 June 13 21:40 BST (UK) »
I've come across a William BLUNT in Raffaele Mazzone's lodging house in Silver Street, Newport Pagnell in 1911.

William is 27 and single, his occupation shows Circus and the next column says Sangers and then that he is an employee.

His birthplace shows as Newport Pagnell and the next person enumerated is a Charles Blunt also born Newport Pagnell, who is a farm labourer so William may only have been temporarily working for Sanger I guess, but this suggest the circus was in town when the 1911 census was taken.

There are a number of pedlars and hawkers amongst the twenty six lodgers.

Hope this is useful to someone.
