Now that you mention it, Yes it's 60 men so maybe two platoons, also about half don't seem to have a cap badge.

Platoon size in WW1 was approx 52 men as opposed to more modern era of approx 30

and were they sleeping under canvas?as you can clearly part of a tent with some tent pegs showing,
