Badingham Birth 1911 - WHITING

Emily M Whiting born Badingham, mother surname ROSE... I have found her as being born Oct quarter 1911. A family member has always thought her birth was the 28/08/1911. Could anyone help with Emily's  actual birthdate?

I’m not seeing any other birth entry in Suffolk for an Emily M Whiting around that time
 there are another 7 births between 1913 - 1928 Hartismere mmn ROSE

Were her parents Isaac Whiting & Ethel May Rose? They married 1908 Hartismere a daughter
Ethel May born/died Jun qtr. 1910

Did Emily marry? Sometimes the actual birth date can be shown on a death entry

If she was baptized perhaps her birth date will be shown someone may have Suffolk parish records and will do a look up for you

The only other way to find actual date of birth is to obtain her birth certificate

Emily could well have been born 28th Aug 1911 as the GRO Index relates to the date of Registration and as you had 42 days (I think) to register a birth it could quite easily have not been registered until October and therefore be in the GRO Index for the October to December quarter.

According to BMD indexes she was Emily May Whiting and married a Thomas H. Fee in Mar.qtr.1936 Hackney.   She died in May 1988 Sunderland and her birthdate given as 28/8/1911 which agrees with your information.

I think Andy may have the right answer... strong possibility that they delayed in registering her birth, why, one will never know. 
Ladyhawk: Yes all the information you have listed is correct. Never knew their was another daughter Ethel May born/died 1910.
Annette: Thankyou. I will try and get someone to do a look up on the Parish registers for her baptism.
You have all been so kind,  we were thinking that she might be like the queen and have two birthdays
