Thanks very much Marienne, unfortunately I don’t think it’s him but it’s a big help I can rule him out, thanks again.

Please, when you have a moment, could you search for  a Mary Kennedy buried 2 July 1876. Address as 30a Athol Street.

SJ (I think) 1052 - Catholic

Thank you so much!

If it's SJ then that is a public section the burial will have been a single interment. The family will have paid for the burial but not purchased the entire grave, just one burial place in it. You can usually tell a burial is public in the registers because there will be a number of burials in that grave around that time and in nearby graves in the same section. The public sections at Ford are grassed areas without any gravestone markers.

Hi Mx
Blue is correct in that SJ 1052 is a public grave. Mary is one of 26 burials in that plot.
sorry

Hi Marienne, sorry to ask again but my dad is in Yew Tree, his name is James Murphy and died 7th June 1975. It’s a public grave but always wondered how many people were in the grave, obviously don’t want names but curious to know if you could tell me, think he was the last one in it. Grave number section 3E grave 43.

Thanks

Elaine

Could somebody please lookup the details of plot M3031 in Ford Cemetery? - John James Mitchell is buried there who died in 1938. Is there a way of seeing who (if anyone) else is in the plot with him and who paid for it, etc?
