John Luke born 7 August 1844 Coneysthorpe, Yorkshire, died 30 April 1876 Jersey City (USA?) he is named on a Memorial in St Michael's Churchyard, Barton le Street, Yorkshire along with his parents and other siblings.

I have other information re the Luke family, our connection to the family is via Mary Luke/Ella/Bosomworth/Miles (1839-1893) if you are interested.  I am in touch with the Ryedale Family History Society who yesterday sent me a photo of the graves at St Michael's Church, Barton le Street, Yorkshire.

This is the first time I have used this programme so hope it  is ok.

Julia, Sorry to be "picky" but it is not the Ryedale Family History Society but the Ryedale Family History Group.
Thought it worth pointing out in case people wanted to search out their web site to buy stuff from them or join them.
