Likewise.  Living so far from Winchester now, getting time to travel all the way to the Hampshire records office is near impossible at the moment (to look at the baptism records for Hinton Ampner), especially with so little information and being dependant on a) If the parish records will have anything, and b) knowing that the info in the census is correct.

I have but unfortunately, the baptism records for Hinton Ampner are only transcribed up to 1644.

On the Hampshire Baptism discs, there are quite a few William Mansbridge baptised in the time frame -
however, in the areas you mention there is William bapt 31 dec 1797, son of John and Mary in Tichborne, and also, just a bit earlier than your dates, William, baptised privately 23 mar 1794, and publicly 20 apr 1794 in Hinton Ampner to Richard and Mary.

John and Mary had 4 other children, and Richard and Mary had 6 more.  Let me know if you want either or both of these lists!

Sorry - just re-read the thread, and you already have this info.  However have been through all the baptisms in Hinton Ampner and West Meon for 1825-1835 and can find no trace of a baptism for William, son of William and Martha.  Doing a wider search, the only baptism for a child for your William and Martha is Stephen.  There is another set of William and Martha Mansbridge having children around this time, but they are in Portsea.
