Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I keep getting emails from the irish genealogy website saying they have new records.

Which Irish Genealogy website?
I thought you might have meant RootsIreland as they do send emails but when I put her name in the free search for Waterford I get no results.

Thankyou for the information and links.

I will peruse the registers to see what new info there is.

James Evans was in the Army and the Regiment went initially to the Curragh Camp in Kildare in Aug 1860.

James William was born in Ireland and his Brother William (my Great Grandfather) was born in India.  Their birth locations have helped to confirm that I have the right people in my tree since my Grandmother was with James, Alice and James William in their shoe shop business which was on Monnow St in Monmouth in 1901 census.

Hence I have a lot of info on the Evans themselves it is just Alice Hodges that is proving difficult to find, but hopefully with effort I can find her on the registers.

Once again many thanks for the help.

Why do you think Alice's maiden surname was HODGES?

I assume you have checked the children's birth registrations on the GRO?

I searched Waterford for a marriage of a Alice and James Evans.
the one that shows was a Alice Brazzell.

So the Alice Hodges is no more, the online records show a marriage to an Alice Brazell.

Hence I have amended my Tree accordingly.

Many thanks to all who responded, the links certainly worked but were hard going trawling through them.
