Henry Jackson
« on: Tuesday 09 July 13 12:24 BST (UK) »
Henry Jackson, known as Harry was born in Croydon, Surrey on July 23, 1876. He arrived in South Australia as an 18 year old, and after working on the wharves at Port Pirie, he was elected to Parliament and in 1911, he becomes the youngest ever Speaker of the House of Assembly in South Australia. Can someone locate his parents for me? I have also seen his birth date as 1873.
Thankyou

I have not seen a middle name anywhere in references to him in Australia where he was known as Harry in the many references to him in newspapers. I have located his marriage certificate which shows his father as Henry Jackson, but would like to find his mother also. Thanks.

That looks like the one. The age of Henry J junior lines up with him being 23 when married in 1899.
Thanks again for your help. :)
