Just took look at the original marriage license of Thomas and Emma in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Bethania hoping it might give some info on parents etc.
You may have this but it only gives their names and place of birth. It states that Thomas is from Mandal and Emma from Nässjö. The Emma I found is from Almesåkra Parish which looks to have been a part of Nässjö Parish.

Hi
I use ArkivDigital to read the Swedish Church Books. The books are free this weekend 12-13 Nov: http://www.arkivdigital.net/products/adonline/try-for-free

It might be a good time to check out Emma in Sweden.

Here are some pages of Emma and her family and her leaving Sweden for America.
To view these records install the software according to the link and then click on the URL link I have added below and open it with the default choice that comes up. ArkivDigital will then open that page automatically.

Ian - You are amazing!  Because I am unfamiliar with both the language and the script:
What does the .15 mean in the column immediately after Aanan's name? and
What is the word immediately prior to his father's name?
