JOHNSTON:  October 2, 1937 at his residence 55 Creggan Road, Derry.  Anthony Johnston, ex Inspector of Postmen G.P.O. Derry, and relict of Elizabeth Johnston R.I.P.  Funeral today Monday 4th inst at 2.30 pm for interment in City Cemetery.  Sacred heart of Jesus, have Mercy on his soul.  Our Lady of Lourdes, intercede for him.

Thanks DoireM, I was led to believe that Anthony had drowned and there was an article about the event in the paper. It was nice to see the obit though.

The Derry Journal is not online.  Micro films in the local library.

Hi Anthony Johnston is my g grandfather also.  The person who drowned in the Foyle was his father James Johnston and his death was printed in the papers at the time.  Can you tell me how you are connected to them?
