The Baptist Chapel, Stevington is a listed building see http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-37299-baptist-chapel-stevington-/osmap Google Street View  at http://goo.gl/maps/pM584 there does not appear to be a river or lake near by.

It is well worth searching for Stevington Baptist Church on Google.  There are numerous items to be found that include not just the history of the church but also lists of founders, ministers etc.

The river Ouse flows close to the village and it also has a well famous for its healing properties, either of which could have been involved in baptisms.

Hello again, there is a transcript of Stevington first church book published in 1972 by the Beds Historical Record Society in vol 51 Some Early Nonconformist Church Books. You might find it for sale on ebay or similar. It covers the years 1673 to 1721. There are 3 Hullett names mentioned, one being Sarah in 1693 who 'was baptised at night in our new place at Pavenham'

Until 1832 baptism of new members was made in the River Great Ouse. In 1832, however, a baptistery was built in the church yard.   http://www.rootschat.com/links/0ve2/
